New in 2025-2026! Data Entry Workshops

NAIS is excited to pilot online sessions during which schools can enter their data and get their questions answered in real time. Each session focuses on a particular topic, led by experts in that area of school leadership. These sessions will not be recorded; however, the slide deck that accompanies the session will be posted to the DASL homepage. If the demand is high, we will add a second session to ensure schools attending the sessions will have the attention required.

The sessions are scheduled as follows:
  • August 13: Advancement Data Entry Workshop with NAIS and CASE
  • August 20: Employee and Board Information Entry Workshop with NAIS
  • October 24: Financial Operations Entry Workshop with NAIS and NBOA
  • October 28: Scrubbing Foundation Data Workshop with NAIS
Links will be posted soon to register for the workshops.

Initial Steps

Here are some steps you can take now to ensure a smooth data entry season:

  1. Ensure access. Check your DASL school roster and make sure everyone who needs access has it. Only your school head and business officer can edit permissions. Want more detailed instructions? Log into DASL and click HELP in the upper right corner.

    1. Log into dasl.nais.org
    2. Click ADMIN in the top navigation bar.
    3. Select School Data Permissions (the first option under ADMIN)
      1. Check your DASL users and their permissions.
      2. Add or remove colleagues to DASL.
      3. Manage user permissions.

Still need help logging in? Try clicking "Forgot Password" on the login screen. If you don't have an account, you may need to ask your head of school or business manager to add you to the roster following the steps above. If you still need help, please contact us.
    4. Confirm association memberships. Is your school a member of a regional association? Make sure that info is reflected in DASL.
      1. Log into dasl.nais.org
      2. View your association memberships in the lower right corner of your DASL home page.
        1. If any are missing, contact the association and ask them to add your school within DASL.
