NAIS and the Enrollment Management Association (EMA) are excited to announce a groundbreaking new DASL (Data and Analysis for School Leadership) partnership.
This collaboration will provide our members with the industry's highest standard for enrollment management benchmarking data. Beginning with data collection this summer and fall, our DASL partnership will ultimately align enrollment management data used within schools and across the sector while maximizing the resources and expertise of each association to improve service to all schools.
Frequently Asked Questions
How will I access DASL?
Visit https://dasl.nais.org to log into the system. Log in with your NAIS/DASL credentials.
If I’ve previously used DASL, how will my data entry process change?
Your data entry process will be the same. What will change are the questions and definitions in the enrollment management section of the survey.
How will the enrollment management questions be different?
NAIS and EMA will work together to update the enrollment management-related questions in DASL in 2025, with input from schools and enrollment management leaders.
How will I benchmark and pull reports?
You will be able to benchmark and pull reports using the tools in DASL. If you are a member of EMA, the relevant data from DASL will also populate EMA’s tools and systems for your reports and services there.
Can I still access my school’s historic data?
Yes. You will be able to access historical data through DASL. If you are an EMA member, you’ll also be able to access your historical data through EMA's reporting systems.
My school is an EMA member, but not an NAIS member. What does this change mean for me? Is there an additional cost?
All schools will enter enrollment management data in DASL. Once data entry is done and the data are scrubbed by NAIS and EMA, your data will copy into EMA’s system. You’ll be able to pull reports in EMA’s systems, in addition to having access to reporting offered in DASL. There is no additional cost to use DASL.
My school has membership with EMA and NAIS. What does this change mean for me?
Your data will transfer to EMA at the end of the data entry period, and you will still have access to the reporting through both DASL and EMA’s systems.
