The NAIS Connect online communities have become a hub for robust discussions, resource sharing, and support. To provide another forum for connection, NAIS offers online meetups for executive assistants and support staff. These free, 45-minute get-togethers offer an opportunity to connect in small groups and discuss topics of your choice as you get to know others who do what you do. 

Facilitated by expert workshop leaders in 4.5-hour sessions over three consecutive days, these highly interactive virtual workshops take place over Zoom and feature an additional three hours of asynchronous work in Canvas required to earn a completion certificate.

Join us to explore relevant learning science, immediately applicable systems for setting and communicating AI use guidelines, and ideas for further learning. Gain a new frame of understanding and leave with practical tools and assets you can apply immediately in your classes, course design, and assessment design.

This two-day workshop, led by Dr. Towanda Harris, will provide practical, actionable strategies for increasing achievement and strengthening students' confidence and agency. We’ll discuss how to weave varied perspectives and students’ lived experiences into your daily instruction. Participants will gain the confidence to create a classroom environment centered on literacy, where strategies and resources support and empower student learning. You’ll be equipped to actively choose tools and practices that place your students at the center of their learning journey, driving increased literacy achievement, strengthening their confidence, and fostering a sense of agency in their educational experience.

While AI’s cognitive and pedagogical capabilities continue to grow, AI’s social capabilities are the most significant AI development for the future of learning. Most educators intuitively know that education—and adolescent development more generally—is relational at its foundation. So what happens when student social lives become entwined with AI companions?
